First and foremost, this event should ignite a public discussion on an ever-neglected topic in the Czech Republic of GMOs production. In that context it should also touch upon the drafted “seed regulation” and its impact on small farmers. Further, it should deal with the issue of local agricultural production and its capacity to feed the entire planet. What can EU institutions do to prevent the import of biological goods from the other side of planet without establishing unreasonable restrictions? Further, the debate should touch upon the possible TTIP effect on consumer rights. Last, the issue of future use of biofuels may come to question.
